At CodexUp (https://codexup.com/), we want to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase. Since we offer both downloadable digital products (WordPress themes, plugins, Shopify assets) and custom development services, our refund guidelines are structured to be fair to both parties.

1. Digital Products (Themes, Plugins & Apps)

Because digital products are intangible and can be duplicated instantly upon download, we do not offer an unconditional “no questions asked” refund. However, your purchase is fully protected under the following conditions:

  • Technical Defect / Broken Product: If the product you downloaded has a verified bug, conflict, or functional error that prevents it from working as advertised, we will issue a full refund.

  • Support Verification First: Before a refund is approved, you must open a support ticket via codexup.dev@gmail.com and allow our engineering team up to 48 hours to resolve the issue. If we fail to fix the product flaw, your refund will be processed immediately.

  • Timeframe: Refund requests for digital products must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.

2. When Refunds Are NOT Issued (Digital Products)

We cannot process refunds for digital products in the following scenarios:

  • You changed your mind after purchasing or downloading the files.

  • You do not have the technical skills to use the WordPress theme or plugin.

  • The product lacks a specific feature that was never listed or advertised on our website.

  • You purchased the wrong item by mistake.

3. Custom Development Services

For custom agency projects (bespoke React apps, dedicated WooCommerce engineering, custom integrations, speed optimization):

  • Milestone Payments: Custom work is billed based on pre-approved milestones. Once development work begins on a specific milestone, payments made toward that milestone are strictly non-refundable.

  • Project Cancellation: If you choose to cancel a project before the completion of a milestone, you will only be charged for the hours already invested by our development team.

4. How to Request a Refund

If your request meets our criteria, you can easily initiate a refund by following these steps:

  1. Send an email to codexup.dev@gmail.com with the subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Order ID]”.

  2. Briefly explain the technical issue or reason you are requesting a refund.

  3. Attach any relevant screenshots or error logs if applicable.

Once approved, refunds are credited back to your original payment method (Stripe/PayPal) within 5-7 business days.
